SP Aanie ran a lemonade stand 10 years back. Now the 31-year-old is back at the local police station in her current post. This happened on June 26.
Aanie hails from Kanjiramkulam in the Thiruvananthapuram district. She rebelled against her parents and got married while in the first year of college. Within 2 years, she separated from her husband after having a child. Her parents turned her away so at 21, with a child in hand, she went to her grandmother's place.?
She struggled but finished her graduation and post-grad as well. She then sold lemonade to make a living.?
¡°It was my father¡¯s dream to make me an IPS officer. So I studied very hard and it became my mission to get a job. It¡¯s no use crying over the circumstances of our life. We have to make a leap. It¡¯s not a defeat until we decide that we have lost,¡± she said while speaking to a news channel.?
In 2016 she cracked the police exams and became a civil police officer.?
