However, upon closer inspection, it becomes evident that the serpent is moving, indicating signs of life. Additionally, a person in the video mentions that this particular snake is ranked as India's third most poisonous snake.
As for the location of the incident remains unknown, and there is a lack of further information available. Despite this, the clip has gained significant attention, amassing more than 7 million views on Instagram.
One of the users wrote that the snake found in this Bhandara is from the Common Sand Boa and is non-venomous. Another noted that the snake is from the Russell Viper species and is considered the most venomous.
There's also concern for those who consumed the curry, with one user emphasising the need for immediate medical attention.
This isn't the first time such an incident has occurred. In 2023, a similar event happened during a Mid-Day Meal at a government school in Bihar's Forbesganj, Araria district. Students fell ill after discovering a snake in their meal prepared by an NGO.?
Though the number of affected students varies between reports, the situation prompted an investigation and temporary cessation of food distribution at the school.
The villagers alleged that over 100 children's health deteriorated, while officials stated 25 children were hospitalised.
In another incident from 2013, around 30 school children were hospitalised in West Bengal's Birbhum district after consuming mid-day meal food in which a snake was allegedly found.
