24 hours has passed since Kerala voted in the third phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. With the much-anticipated vote over candidates and their supporters are busy analyzing their chances as they wait for May 23, which is a month away to know their fate.
While this is happening, one candidate is doing things a little different. Hours after the polls ended P Rajeev, the CPI-M-led Left Democratic Front's (LDF) candidate from Ernakulam has displayed an exemplary step by asking his supporters to remove all the campaign banners and posters within two days and keep the city clean.

Rajeev, a former Rajya Sabha MP, was pitted against Union Minister Alphons Kannanthanam of the BJP and Hibi Eden of the Congress in one of the most high-profile three-way contests in the state in this Lok Sabha election.

One may or may not be a supporter of him or his political party, but we should appreciate the efforts he has made to keep the elections pollution free, and hope that other candidates also follow his footsteps and keep the elections eco-friendly.
It is also worth mention that Kerala conducted the elections in the most eco-friendly manner, by saying no to single-use plastic materials as campaign materials.?

Following a Kerala High Court order in February which banned the use of flex and other non-biodegradable materials for campaigning throughout the state in Lok Sabha elections, the state saw arguably the most eco-friendly campaign anywhere in India.
Candidates, cutting across party lines had been using paper posters and wall graffitis to spread their campaign.
