Marriage is one of the biggest decisions in life; after all, it is the only time when you actually get to choose your family. But what if you discover things about your partner after marriage that aren't so nice? That's what happened to a woman who found out one fine day that her husband might cheat on her in the future because he thinks it will only help confirm she's the one for him.
The woman took to Reddit to share her predicament.?
She shares, "We are newly weds, (both 30s) got married 2 weeks ago and last night we were in bed having some conversations about 'the future' and the topic of 'cheating' came up," adding that "he said that he could see himself cheating in the distant future."
The woman was taken aback, to say the least.
She added that her husband doesn't consider cheating to be a serious matter because he believes that if he ever feels tempted and decides to cheat on the marriage, he will miss and desire her even more afterward.?
He sees it as a way to prove to himself that no other woman can compare to her and that he ultimately wants a committed relationship with her, regardless of any attractions he may encounter in the future.?
In essence, he wants to compare other women to her in order to reaffirm that she is the right one for him.?
"I felt uneasy. this...interesting view on cheating he has is just not something I'd expected nor seen coming. I don't know what to feel about this. It ruined the mood for us."?
But, despite this shocking view, it was the man who ended up calling her unreasonable for being upset.?
"He started calling me unreasonable to be that upset when he's done nothing 'yet' but was just being honest and giving his opinion on the subject," she said.?

The Internet was quick to call him out for this confession.?
"Almost sounds like a confession," said one.?
Another said, "He sounds like he's attempting to ease you into the idea that him cheating isn't a big deal so when it does happen in the future, which it will given how he apparently justifies the action, you won't be as angry or shocked."?
Yet another agreed, saying, "He wants to cheat and he wants you to be okay with it regardless of how you actually feel. Better have a very serious and long conversation about this with him so they know completely you don't want or like it."? ??
