A lower primary school teacher from Kerala died due to a suspected cardiac arrest, just a short while after seeing her students in an online class, one last time.
The teacher, Madhavi who used to teach Mathematics at the Government Welfare Lower Primary School at Adottukaya in Kasargod district died on Thursday, after ending the class abruptly saying that she wasn't feeling well.
On Thursday, Madhavi was taking Mathematics lessons for Class III students from her phone.
During the class, the 47-year-old asked her students to turn on their cameras, so that she could see them all.
Madhavi then spoke to her students, one by one a said that she was waiting to see them all next week when offline classes resume in the state.
During the conversation, Madhavi started coughing and was finding it difficult to breathe.
So she ended the class abruptly after giving the students some homework.
Madhavi who was staying alone in her house after her husband's death then called up a relative to inform him that she was unwell.
When the relative came looking for her, he found her unconscious and took her to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.
The incident came to light after the recording of Madhavi's last class was shared among students.
Many current and former students condoled Madhavi's death and remembered her as a loving and caring teacher.
