Only weeks after a dhaba owner was shot in the leg because he served cold chappatis in UP, another shocking incident is revealed in Maharashtra. Two drunk men allegedly set a roadside eatery on fire because the owner said no to serving chicken.?
The accused are Sagar Patel and Shankar Tayde.?They came to the restaurant in the Beltarodi area of Nagpur around 1 am on January 10 while they were under the influence of alcohol. They ordered chicken to eat, but the owner said he could not provide it. Angry, they torched the place.?
Thankfully nobody was injured. Police caught both the accused as per a Mumbai Mirror report.
Earlier in UP, a youth allegedly shot a dhaba owner in the leg with a licenced weapon after arguing having been served with cold chapatis. It took place in Etah in December.?
He was taken to hospital and the bullet was retrieved from his right thigh. Police arrested the accused along with his friend, who was also there. They were booked under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 386 (extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt).?
Meanwhile, a man allegedly took his friend's life because he did not make egg curry for dinner. It happened in Manakpur area of Nagpur in October 2020.?
Police said the victim whose name was Banarasi, had invited Gaurav Gaikwad. They drank till late at night and got into a fight when the host told his guest that he had not made egg curry. Gaikwad hit Banarasi on his head with a metal rod. This resulted in serious injuries and ultimately led to his death.
