If you are in a high-security area like an airport, there are a few words that you should not utter, even by accident, that could lead to the security agencies getting involved.
Even someone overhearing a similar-sounding word in a conversation can cause panic and unnecessary trouble for people involved and other flyers.
A student from Uttar Pradesh learned this the hard way after he was detained at the Bengaluru Airport.
Adarsh Kumar Singh, a student at a college in Bengaluru, created panic at the Kempegowda International Airport in the Karnataka capital recently after he identified himself as a member of a terrorist group.
The 21-year-old was at KIA on February 17, from where he was supposed to take a flight to his hometown, Lucknow.
However, after completing the security check and boarding, Singh refused to fly and voluntarily offloaded from the flight.
After being alerted by the airline's staff, Singh was interrogated by the CISF.
To the shock of the CISF officials, Singh told them that he was a member of a terror group and even warned that the flight to Lucknow would not land in the city.
However, nothing suspicious was found in the security check and the flight was allowed to proceed.
During a detailed interrogation, Singh, a B.Tech student admitted that he made it up.
According to reports Singh had recently gone through a breakup and was upset. He was on his way to his parents' home, but midway changed his plan and did not want to proceed to Lucknow.
This is not the first time such incidents have happened in airports. In the past people have landed in trouble in airports for claiming that there was a bomb in their bag, just because they were upset by the detailed examination of their belongings by the CISF.
