After the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram at the temple in Ayodhya, there has been a notable increase in tourist arrivals to the town. This surge has sparked investments in the hospitality sector to enhance tourism potential and accommodate the growing influx of visitors.
"In response to this trend, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on January 27 in the presence of Tourism Director Prakhar Mishra, formalizing a partnership with the American firm Anjali Investment LLC at Paryatan Bhawan," according to a press release from the Chief Minister's Office.
The focus of the agreement is on the construction of a 100-room resort in Ayodhya. This initiative is expected to elevate the amenities available to tourists and guests, fostering the growth of tourism in the region and providing high-quality facilities to visitors.
The American firm is led by Ramesh Nangurnoori, an entrepreneur from Hyderabad involved in real estate and other ventures in the US."The resort aims to enhance the facilities available to tourists and guests, thereby contributing to the overall growth of tourism in the region," emphasised Ramesh Nangurnoori, highlighting the strategic decision to invest in Ayodhya's hospitality sector following the consecration of the Ram temple.
"Suitable land has already been identified, and with the signing of the MoU with Uttar Pradesh Tourism, construction work is set to commence soon," stated the release. The investor commended the investor-friendly policies of the tourism department.
Director of Tourism Prakhar Mishra emphasised that the construction of the hotel and resort would enhance the overall experience for tourists and devotees visiting the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The expected increase in tourist numbers is anticipated to create new employment opportunities for locals.
"Echoing these sentiments, Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh highlighted the rapid development of Uttar Pradesh in the tourism sector," the release stated.
The state is currently a leader in domestic tourism, and efforts are ongoing to attract more foreign tourists.The inauguration of the Ram Temple has led to an unexpected surge in tourists, prompting proactive measures to encourage investments in hotels and resorts to enhance facilities for visitors.
The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of Lord Ram took place on January 22, with the main rituals conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The unveiling of the idol of Ram Lalla followed the rituals. Subsequently, on January 23, the Ram Temple was opened to the general public.
