The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is arguably one of the most popular cars still plying on the roads across India. Ever since its debut, way back in 1999, the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R went on to become one of India's favourite cars and is still among the most sold in its segment.
It was built for Indian roads, had ample space for a family, could do some heavy lifting, and was easy to maintain.
But what happens when your much-loved car is well past its lifetime??
The best thing one can do and, even the government says, is you should scrap it.
This, however, does not materialise in India and end-of-life vehicles still continue to ply the roads.
A social media user came across an unusually repurposed Wagon R.
The X user, Bunny Punia shared the video of a Wagon R that has been modified to function as a mini pick-up truck.
In the video, the modified Wagon R can be seen transporting several large milk containers, on its back.
The back seats of the car have been replaced with a cargo box and even have something that looks like a door.
According to Punia, the car was spotted on the Panchkula - Saharanpur highway.
"The Wagon R never dies! First car Family car Practical tall boy Uber Ola And now this! This Marvel can take abuse/overload/no service runs without a hiccup. Plus India is the land of jugaads. Spotted today on Panchkula - Saharanpur highway," Punia wrote.
The video has left many amused...
"Wagon R Pickup," one person said, while another felt that it was an idea that even Maruti Suzuki would not have thought about.
Others, however, questioned how the car, which could be at least twenty years old was even being allowed to be driven on the road in such condition.
