Elephants, renowned for their remarkable intelligence, recently showcased their cognitive abilities in a video shared by singer Hariharan. While the video highlights the extraordinary mind of these majestic creatures, viewers also noted a poignant undertone that added a touch of sadness to the display.
As the video begins, we see a loading truck with its back door open and a small step tool in front.?

An elephant steps onto the tool, climbs into the truck, and sits down¡ªall without any human assistance. Not every animal possesses the intelligence to perform such a task.
Following this, another elephant approaches and repeats the process, this time standing fully on the step tool before carefully backing into the truck.
At the end of the video, the elephant even lifts the stool onto the truck!
Shared by singer Hariharan on Instagram, the video quickly garnered nearly 40,000 likes, sparking a divided reaction among netizens.
But even in a video meant to showcase the elephants' intelligence, there was one detail viewers couldn't overlook¡ªthe chains tied to the elephants.
Singer Papon expressed admiration for the elephants, saying, "One of the most intelligent beings on this planet!"

Another user agreed, commenting, "I love elephants?? what a beautiful and majestic animal."
However, not everyone shared the same sentiment. One person remarked, "Those chains break my heart," while another pointed out, "Leave the wild animals alone. This is not natural for them."
Echoing this concern, yet another user said, "Why don¡¯t they just let them be in their own habitat! They do not need to display any common sense to us," while another?lamented the elephants' training for the display, citing cruelty.
