In a whirlwind of opinions on work-life balance sparked by Narayan Murthy's infamous 70-hour work week suggestion last year, the discourse in India has been nothing short of heated. Recently, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang shared his two cents on the topic and his views are sure to stir up emotions on the matter.
In a discussion with Stripe CEO Patrick Collison, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang shared insights into his work ethic and perspective on work-life balance.
Huang revealed, "I work from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed, and I work seven days a week. When I¡¯m not working, I¡¯m thinking about working. And when I'm working, I¡¯m working."
The 61-year-old also mentioned a slight change in his routine due to his pets, saying, "I used to wake up at 5 a.m., but these days, I wake up at 6 a.m. because of my dogs... I don't mind waking anybody up, but I feel guilty when I wake the puppies up."
Huang, one of the longest-serving tech CEOs and the 14th richest person in the world with a net worth of $105.8 billion, believes that?it takes suffering and struggle to truly appreciate one's achievements.?
Earlier, during a lecture at Stanford University, Huang emphasised the importance of resilience, stating, "Resilience matters in success. I don¡¯t know how to teach it to you except for I hope suffering happens to you."

He also?challenged common beliefs about job satisfaction, expressing disagreement with the notion?that the best jobs always bring happiness.
He thus questioned the notion of needing to love every aspect of one's job, saying, "I don't love every day of my job, not every day brings me joy; nor does joy have to be the definition of a good day... but I love the company every single second."
