Mumbaikars woke up to heavy rains on Tuesday, facing one of the heaviest rainfall in the year. That said, the ever joyous and ever lively Mumbai came to an uninvited halt.?
The continuous rainfall left the entire city in waist-deep waters - cars, trains, even buses succumbing to it. Needless to say that this "typhoon-like weather" has put the entire city on a slow ride. People are stuck wherever they were, traffic has escalated,?hitting trains and flights.?

Amidst this obstacle, what's keeping the fervour alive is the spirit of Mumbaikars. Many people have taken to Twitter to offer help to people who are stuck on the road. While some are giving away free rides and asking for locations, others are inviting people to their homes.?
Weathermen believe the Mumbai rain, heavier than average, could continue for at least 24 hours. Please stay wherever you are and do not hesitate to ask for help or help fellow Mumbaikars.
