In a shocking incident in Hyderabad, a Lamborghini Gallardo, valued at nearly Rs 1 crore, was deliberately set on fire. Officials reported that the sports car was completely destroyed. Police officials stated that the incident arose from a business dispute between two car resellers.
According to police, a complaint was lodged by Neeraj, a car reseller who had bought the luxury car from its original owner.
Police revealed that the owner of the Lamborghini, Gallardo Spyder, wanted to sell the car through the dealer. The dealer was tasked with finding potential buyers.?
The dealer then asked a friend of the car owner to drive the vehicle to Mamidipalli Road on April 13. Upon its arrival, the dealer and some associates poured petrol on the Lamborghini and set it on fire. According to the dealer, the Lamborghini's owner owed him money.
Authorities have filed a case against the dealer, charging him with causing mischief by fire or explosive substance with the intent to cause damage under Section 435 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The Gallardo, a former flagship of Lamborghini discontinued around a decade ago, is seen as the precursor to the manufacturer's current Huracan lineup sold worldwide. The Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder that met its fiery end boasted a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine, producing around 512 bhp of power and 510 Nm of peak torque.
The Gallardo, with its sleek design and powerful performance, remains an iconic symbol of Lamborghini's engineering prowess and timeless appeal. Despite being discontinued, it continues to hold a special place in the hearts of automotive enthusiasts worldwide, serving as a testament to Lamborghini's rich heritage and innovation in the realm of supercars.??
