A woman has taken to social media to thank Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru for their help in finding her lost diamond ring. Aakanksha Singh, a Mumbai resident, lost her diamond ring at the airport on June 30, but thanks to the help of two CISF personnel, she was able to get it back.
"Today at Kempegowda International Airport, I lost my diamond ring. But with the help of Mr. Rajesh Singh & Mr. Vinay Kumar Rai from CISF, I was able to find my ring. All thanks to their coordination and helping nature. Your help is highly appreciated," she said in a post on X.

She also posted photos showing the nameplates of the CISF personnel. Responding to her post, the CISF said: "Warm greetings from @CISFHQrs. CISF is always there to help & ensure your travel is safe, secure, and smooth. Thank you for your valuable feedback. It has been forwarded to CISF officers at the airport."
Items getting lost and misplaced is fairly common during flights, and like other airports, Kempegowda International also has a dedicated team that helps passengers reunite with their lost items.?
According to Bengaluru Airport, any queries or claims submitted to the lost and found section will be attended to within a period of 3 business days.
To reclaim any lost item that has been listed on the Bengaluru Airport's website, the passenger has to produce the following:
a) Copy of boarding pass
b) Details/Description of items being claimed
c) Valid Government photo ID proof of the titleholder/owner of the lost item/article

If the item lost belongs to a person residing outside India, they can claim it by authorizing someone else but will have to submit additional documents, including:
- Valid Government photo-ID of the owner of the item
- Valid Government photo-ID of the individual authorized to collect
- Copy of boarding pass
- Original letter of authorization from the owner of the item/article mentioning the below:
??i) Details/Description of the item/article
??ii) Proof of ownership of the lost item/article
??iii) The reasons for the titleholder/owner not claiming the lost item/article in person.
