A woman from Uttar Pradesh has reunited with her brother after a gap of 18 years, thanks to an Instagram reel. The woman, identified as Rajkumari, a resident of Hathipur village in Kanpur, recognized her long-lost brother after she spotted his broken tooth.?According to a report by India Today, the woman was scrolling through Instagram reels when she came across a video from Jaipur featuring a man who had a chipped tooth ¨C the same one as her brother, Bal Govind.
The report said that Bal Govind had left home some eighteen years ago to work in Mumbai. While he remained in touch with his family, he became untraceable on a train journey home.?

According to Govind, he took a train when he fell ill, but instead of reaching Kanpur, he ended up in Jaipur. With the help of a stranger whom he met at the railway station, Govind got a job at a factory and started from scratch once again.
As years went by, Govind got married and had two children. Along with his job, Govind also started making reels on Instagram, mostly featuring locations and things to see in Jaipur. Back home in UP's Inayatpur, Rajkumari stumbled upon one such reel and immediately recognized her brother from his broken tooth.

Convinced that the person in the video was her long-lost sibling, Rajkumari contacted him through social media and confirmed her suspicion.
The two siblings then connected by phone and Rajkumari convinced her brother to come to their village. On June 20, Govind traveled to UP and reunited with his sister after 18 years of separation.
