Sultan K?sen and Jyoti Amge, who are famous for being extremely tall and short respectively, met up for breakfast in California. It was a special moment because Sultan is known as the tallest man alive and Jyoti as the shortest woman according to the Guinness World Records.
The pair's visit to the United States was reportedly arranged by an unnamed American producer, who also planned to film their meeting.
Sultan K?sen, a 41-year-old part-time farmer from Turkey, stands at an incredible height of 8 feet, 2.8 inches, making him the tallest living man on Earth.?
K?sen's remarkable stature is due to acromegaly, a condition caused by a tumour in the pituitary gland leading to excessive growth hormone, resulting in gigantism.?
K?sen faced various challenges throughout his life, including being told that he was too tall to play basketball and unable to attend school due to his condition.?
However, his life took a positive turn in 2009 when he was officially recognized as the world's tallest man.
This recognition brought various opportunities and experiences, including free life-saving surgery to halt his continuous growth.
Renowned for his ability to touch a basketball rim without jumping, K?sen has travelled to 127 countries and currently serves as a cultural ambassador for Turkey.
On the other end of the height spectrum is Jyoti Amge, a 30-year-old woman from Nagpur, India, who stands at just 62.8 centimetres tall.?
Amge's height is a result of achondroplasia, which is a form of dwarfism. Despite her small stature, Amge has travelled to many countries and has been featured in various television shows.?
She has made a guest appearance on the reality TV show Big Boss and has also played a role in the fourth season of American Horror Story: Freak Show.
K?sen and Amge last met in 2018 for a photo shoot in Egypt. The photos, released by Turkey's Anadolu news agency, depict Amge standing beside K?sen's shoe, barely reaching his shoulder even as he is seated, highlighting the extreme difference in their heights.
