Yamuna Expressway Update: There is some construction development that has been planned for the Yamuna Expressway. It has been decided to construct two new interchanges to connect the Yamuna Expressway to the upcoming new film city in Uttar Pradesh. This Film City project is proposed to be built on 1,000 acres. The first phase covered around 230 acres, at a cost of ?1,510 crore.
These two new interchanges will be mainly constructed on both sides of the Yamuna Expressway. Both of these interchanges are expected to be around 480 meters long and 11 meters wide. Moreover, the overall budget for this is expected to cost around six crore rupees.
International Film City, Greater Noida, will soon have a direct connection to the Yamuna Expressway, Uttar Pradesh, via these two newly planned interchanges/ramps. The film city in Greater Noida has been developed on 230 acres in Sector 21 of the Yamuna Authority area.
Recently, the YEIDA (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) has initiated the tender process for this project. However, the construction agency is yet to be finalised, and after this, the construction work will begin.
Below are the required notable features and benefits this project will provide to computers soon after construction:?
Arun Vir Singh, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of YEIDA, said, ¡°Once Film City gets operational, there will be heavy traffic on these interchanges, causing huge inconvenience. Separate entry and exit points are required to cater this need. This will also benefit those commuting to the airport.¡±
This enticing UP region is all set to witness major developments, growth opportunities, and advancement in the upcoming year. Also, Uttar Pradesh is set for its 2nd film city, which will soon be developed on the Yamuna Expressway, in the YEIDA region. For this proposed plan, around 1,000 acres of plots have been planned.
The required possession of land will be taken on 27 February for the construction of Film City.
Boney Kapoor, the chairman of Bayview Projects, will take possession of this land. Moreover, Dr. Arun Veer Singh, CEO of Yamuna Authority, had highlighted the requirement of these interchanges/ramps to overcome these excess traffic jams. He also suggested that, based on future requirements, more of these construction provisions will be planned to ease the traffic for commuters.
Hence, it is highly expected that two more interchanges on this 60-meter could be added later if traffic continues. This interchange will also connect regional, residential, and industrial sectors via traffic congestion. Also, this development will provide direct route access to Agra and Delhi.
