US Vice President JD Vance is currently on a four-day official visit to India. He landed in New Delhi and later arrived in Jaipur on Monday evening with his wife Usha and their three children. His visit includes a combination of diplomatic meetings and cultural experiences in three cities: Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra.
On the first day of his India tour, JD Vance met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the PM¡¯s residence in New Delhi. The two leaders spoke about strengthening bilateral relations and trade between the United States and India. Vance was joined by his family during this meeting, which marked the beginning of his multi-city itinerary in the country.
On the second day of his visit, JD Vance, along with his wife and children, toured Jaipur¡¯s Amber Fort. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma welcomed the US Vice President and held a brief courtesy meeting at the historic site. The Vance family watched a cultural performance at the fort, reflecting the rich heritage of Rajasthan.
The tour schedule for the day included stops at Amer Fort, Panna Meena Kund, and the Anokhi Museum from 9 am to 11:30 am. After lunch in the Amer Fort area, they are expected to reach the Rajasthan International Centre by 2:45 pm and return to their hotel, Rambagh Palace, by 4 pm.
The Vance family is staying at the Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, a former royal residence built in 1835. Now managed by Taj Hotels, the palace has served as a royal guesthouse and hunting lodge in the past. It has restaurants such as Suvarna Mahal, known for its grand 18th-century-style ballroom setting.
JD Vance¡¯s India visit will continue with upcoming stops in Agra. His tour is a mix of official discussions with cultural engagement.
