Across New Gurugram, RWAs have joined hands with NGOs to setup camps which are offering respiratory masks and hand sanitizers at subsidised rates, as both the protective gears are nowhere to be found in the local chemist shops after people over-stocked these in panic amid the coronavirus outbreak. They are also trying to spread more and more awareness about it.?
Societies where RWAs conducted these camps include DLF Regal Garden - sector 90, Sare Homes - sector 92, BPTP Park Prime - Sector 66 and Vatika India Next - Sector 82.?
On Sunday, The drug control department team had seized 3.5 lakh masks and 2,500 bottles of hand sanitizers from almost 70 shops. These seized products will be sold at 40 stores on 20% discount so that matter of shortage can be addressed.?
President of Sare Homes RWA Sector 92 said, ¡°Lack of availability of these hand sanitizers have become a serious concern. We¡¯ve tied up an NGO to provide them with subsidised rates through camps.¡±
Congress Functionary, Capt Ajay Yadav, said, ¡°The government agencies should conduct raids in Gurugram to prevent hoarding of masks and sanitizers. The artificial shortage is created by these individuals.¡±
