Olympic medal winners receiving cash, cars, and other rewards for their achievements is nothing new. But Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo is getting an unusual gift for his Olympics performance¡ªfree ramen for life! Yulo, who became the first male Olympic gold medalist from the Philippines and the country's second Olympic champion, has been flooded with rewards back home.
These rewards include a three-bedroom condo, thousands of dollars, a lifetime of free ramen, free cookies for life, free colonoscopies, and gastroenterology consultations after he turns 45.

Yulo's gifts also include an iPhone 16, a PlayStation 5, ?1.5 lakh worth of free furniture, a lifetime of free engineering design, free buffets, free meals from numerous local establishments, and many more cash awards.
The 24-year-old won his first gold medal at the Paris Olympics in the floor exercise final on Saturday, followed by another top finish in the men's vault on Sunday.
Yulo said he was bracing himself for the hero's welcome he will undoubtedly receive when he returns home.
"I'm really excited, but I know it's also going to be tough for me because it's kind of outside gymnastics," he said. "Lots of interviews, lots of media, but I'm really excited to do that," he added about the win.
While all Filipino gold medalists at the Paris Games have been promised a fully furnished two-bedroom condominium in Taguig City, Yulo will get two¡ªone for each gold medal.
Though the Philippines debuted in the Olympics in 1924, it took the country until 2021 to win a gold medal. Weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz won the Philippines' first Olympic gold medal in Tokyo three years ago.
