The rainforest has been experiencing a record-breaking number of fires this year, by the way. 72,843 fires have been detected so far. Amazon rainforest is home to three million species of plants and animals and one million native people.
According to reports, we?lost 740 square kilometers?of it in just a month back in June. And all of this deforestation leads to temperature rises that can spark wildfires.?

While some of the fires are burning in Bolivia's share of the Amazon, the largest blazes were in the Chiquitania region of southeastern Bolivia. It's the zone of dry forest, farmland and open prairies that has seen an expansion of farming and ranching in recent years.

This is despite the government claiming that the satellite images of the Amazon Protection System of the Ministry of Defense, showed that there was a reduction of the regions affected by fires.
Though forest fires are nothing new in Amazon, this year has been particularly bad. Several reasons including deforestation and indifference by the government have been blamed for the massive blaze this year.

Amazon, which is home to some of the most unique flora and fauna in the world had been losing it to the years of deforestation and timber logging, which now the world fear will be gone forever if those responsible fail to act now.
