A dog buried alive by its Russian owners after a 'lethal injection' managed to dig itself out of the grave, as per a TNN report.?
Kiryusha is a seven-year-old German shepherd. It was spotted by Olga Lystseva in southern Russia, said LadBible.?
Olga noticed the dog walking slowly in the rain. She turned her car to go and help.?
Once she picked it up, she provided food. Olga then went to Ukhta to hand the dog to be cared for in a rescue centre.?
When Kiryusha's owners were located, they insisted on having to 'put down' Kiryusha, as they claimed she was unhealthy.?
The dog was reportedly injected with a lethal drug. Then the body was buried in a remote spot close to the Ukhta-Syktyvkar highway.?
Thankfully, there was no indication of a medical problem in spite of what happened.?
"Thanks to Olga, Kiryusha has begun a new life. In the shelter, he is very calm. He walks on a leash, does not rush anywhere, rarely conflicts with other dogs, and does not bark. He is good-natured with people," said Ekaterina Nimak, a member of the rescue service.?
According to the shelter, the owners said sorry for making a 'mistake'.
