Since COVID-19 began holding the world hostage towards the start of this year, over a million people have quit smoking. This is according to a survey for charity Action on Smoking and Health as per a BBC report.?
41 per cent of them who quit in the last 4 months said that it was a direct result of the pandemic.?
Meanwhile University College London said that more people quit smoking from the start of the year to June 2020, than any year since the survey began in 2007.?

Between April 15 and June 20, a sample of 10,000 people were asked by Action on Smoking and Health about their smoking habits. Nearly half of them attributed them quitting due to COVID-19.?
