Dubai is renowned for its infrastructure setup as it houses magnificently built skyscrapers, including the world's tallest building Burj Khalifa.?
Now, the affluent city is all set to have the largest residential structure in the world too.
In a recent unveiling, Dubai's real-estate giant, Al Habtoor Group, announced that the said project will come with ultra-luxurious living amenities.
It will be built at a prime site on Sheikh Zayed Road, on the banks of the Dubai Water Canal, overlooking the Burj Khalifa in the Business Bay neighbourhood.?
Also, it will be located near the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), making it one of the largest and most ingenious sustainable iconic structures in the whole world.
According to Al Habtoor Group, the tower will be constructed with cutting-edge, innovative, and selected construction techniques based on decades of learning from the Burj Al Arab, Terminals 1 and 3 of the Dubai International Airport, the Abu Dhabi Officers' Club, and various other projects.
"As a former builder/contractor, I am excited to be driving the first piles of the project into the ground and revealing some of the novel technical details of the construction techniques used in the Habtoor Tower, and very proud that it will be delivered at the highest quality in record time," Khalaf Al Habtoor, founding chairman of Al Habtoor Group, told Khaleej Times.
Habtoor Tower, the multi-billion-dirham development, will have 1,701 keys over a built-up area of 3,517,313 square feet and 81 floors (G+7+73) above ground. It is scheduled to be completed within 36 months.
