Illia Yefimchyk, a bodybuilder who found social media fame as the 'world's most monstrous bodybuilder,' has died at the age of 36 after suffering a heart attack.?Illia "Golem" Yefimchyk, the Belarusian bodybuilder, was known to many as "The Mutant" for his unique and monstrous looks.
Standing at 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 154 kg, and having a 61-inch chest and 25-inch biceps, he was a true monster of a man.
According to reports, Yefimchyk suffered a heart attack while he was at home on September 6. His wife, Anna, tried to revive him by performing chest compressions, and he was later flown to the hospital by helicopter.
Yefimchyk slipped into a coma, and his death was announced on September 11.
"I prayed all this time, hoping that Illia would recover. I spent every day by his side, hoping, and his heart started beating again for two days, but the doctor gave me the terrible news that his brain had died," Anna told Belarusian media, according to the Daily Mail.
She also thanked people for their support.
"It's very heartwarming to realise that I am not left alone in this world, and so many people have offered me help and support," she said.
An average kid in school who weighed 70 kg, Yefimchyk took to bodybuilding, inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
While he did not compete professionally as a bodybuilder, Yefimchyk's looks and workout gained him a sizeable fanbase on social media.
He once hit a 600-pound bench press, a 700-pound deadlift, and a 700-pound squat. Yefimchyk also ate seven times a day, consuming ~16,500 calories, reportedly consisting of five pounds of steak and 100+ pieces of sushi.
