Recent polling data indicates a tightening race for Kamala Harris, revealing that her national lead has diminished. Former President Donald Trump appears to have gained a slight edge in several key swing states, according to J.L. Partners' election model reported by DailyMail.com. As more polls suggest a narrowing gap, a top campaign advisor for Harris has publicly dismissed these findings as "horses***."
A Morning Consult survey conducted in early October showed Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump by five points.?
Meanwhile, a Reuters/Ipsos poll from late September indicated she had a six-point advantage.?
However, the RealClearPolitics national polling average now reveals that Harris's lead has shrunk to just 1.7 points over the former president.
David Plouffe, a key advisor to the Harris-Walz campaign and former advisor to Barack Obama, expressed strong opinions on the 'God Save America' podcast about the presidential race's competitiveness.
He stated, "I can't speak to the public polls. I spend very little time looking at them... most of them are horses***. Some of them may be close but generally, I'd say any poll that shows Kamala Harris up four to five points in one of these seven states, ignore it. Any point that shows Donald Trump up like that - ignore it."
"This thing's very close. It's a margin-of-error race," Plouffe emphasised.
The 2024 United States presidential election, which will be the 60th quadrennial election, is set to take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
