The reactions to the plight of Ukrainians were of compassion and racism at the same time.
From journalists to politicians many have been called out for their racist remarks on the war.
UK's Prince Willam is the latest to join the infamous bandwagon.
According to the Duke of Cambridge and second in line to the British throne, unlike in Asia and Africa, it's very alien to see a war in Europe.
He made the comments while visiting a Ukrainian Cultural Center in London.

While discussing the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, the Duke of Cambridge said, ˇ°Britons were more used to seeing conflict in Africa and Asia. It is very alien to see this in Europe. We are all behind you.ˇ±?
But he added that he, like many, wanted to do more to help. ˇ°We feel so useless,ˇ± he said.
They offered assistance from their charitable foundation for children and young people suffering mental health problems and trauma from the war, and said their eldest children, Prince George, aged eight, and six-year-old Princess Charlotte, had been affected by the unfolding tragedy.
ˇ°Ours have been coming home asking all about it,ˇ± William said. ˇ°They are obviously talking about it with their friends at school.ˇ±
Many reacted sharply to the comments and even pointed out that William was historically wrong.
They reminded him of the Kosovo War from 1998 to 1999, and the Russian invasion of Crimea in 2014, and also the bloody conflict in Ireland, which is part of the UK.
European countries have also been accused of preferential treatment towards those fleeing the war in Ukraine than those who fled the wars in Afghanistan, Syria and Yemen.
Prime ministers of Bulgaria and Poland came under fire for saying they would accept any number of refugees because "these are not the refugees we are used to. These are intelligent and educated people."
