In what is touted to be the ?second largest black hole ever seen in the Milky Way Galaxy, Japanese astronomers discovered a monstrous black hole, considered to be around 100,000 times bigger than our Sun.

Astronomers found it hiding in a toxic gas cloud located some 25,000 light-years from Earth.?In a study published in Nature Astronomy, scientists led by Tomoharu Oka from Keio University, Japan, announced a new candidate for an intermediate-mass black holes (IMBHs).?
What is a black hole??
Black Holes are regions in space that have very powerful gravitational fields that allow them to absorb all light that passes near them, and they don¡¯t reflect anything.
The discovery took place when astronomers studied the movements of toxic cloud gases with the ALMA telescope, composed of 66 radio telescopes and located in the Chile.
In a study published in the journal Nature Astronomy, Prof Oka then used computer simulations to show the high speed motion of the gas cloud, which was a sign that it is surrounding a black hole. ?
According to reports, Tomoharu Oka believes that the newly discovered black hole could be the nucleus of an old dwarf galaxy that was consumed during the formation of the Milky Way billions of years ago.
