The 'Tank man of Tiananmen Square' of simply the 'Tank man' is one of the most iconic images in history.
It was the 1989 photo of a yet-to-be-identified Chinese man who stood in front of a column of tanks leaving Tiananmen Square in China, the day after the violent crackdown on the Tiananmen protests.
While he did not end up stopping the convoy, the sheer contrast of an unarmed man standing in front of the huge army tanks has since gone on to become a symbol of nonviolent resistance around the world.
In Ukraine which is being invaded by the Russian troops, a similar video has surfaced.
The video showed a man desperately trying to stop a convoy of invading Russian Army vehicles.
As those filming the incident gasp in disbelief, the man steps in front of one truck, prompting the vehicle to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting him.
The tank man of Ukraine is yet another example of how civilians are trying to resist the invading Russians.
Earlier, another video had gone viral on social media from the port city of Henichesk near the sea of Azov where a woman, who has not been identified, can be heard telling an armed Russian soldier: "Put sunflower seeds in your pockets so they grow on Ukraine soil when you die."
In the video, the woman was seen asking Russian soldiers who are you? To which, one of them replied and said that they have exercises here, and asked her to go. Then the woman replies and says what kind of exercises? Are you Russian?
To which, the soldier says yes and the woman says so what the f**k are you doing here. Replying to her, the soldier says that right now, their discussion will lead to nothing.
The woman says that they are occupants, they are fascists, what the fu** are they doing here. She further says that they should put the sunflower seeds in their pockets so that they can lie down here with the seeds. She further says that do they even understand that they are occupiers, they are enemies.
Civilians are also turning up in large numbers at blood banks across the country to donate blood for the Ukrainian soldiers and others who are injured in the Russian attack.
