A video has gone viral showing the dramatic rescue of a group of people from the ongoing floods in China. In the video, rescue teams can be seen pulling people who are stranded in neck-deep water to their boat.
According to Chinese media reports, the incident happened in the central Hunan province, which is one of the worst-hit areas with severe flooding and landslides.
The video from a rescue operation in Hunan's Pingjiang county last week showed three men, almost shoulder-deep in water, hanging from a second-floor window of a house to keep themselves safe from being swept away. The three men were holding onto an improvised rope made with a bedsheet to mitigate the floodwaters.
