They say that you can't eat a pizza without sharing it. Pizza is considered one of the most popular foods in the world, and it is meant to be shared with your loved ones. But how many people can you share your pizza with? Well, if you were at the world's largest pizza party, you could have shared it with 11,444 others.
Santa Clarita, California-based Princess Cruises recently set a new Guinness World Record for the world's largest pizza party. The record-breaking pizza party was held on 16 cruise ships and saw the participation of 11,445 travelers, who were more than happy to devour over 60,000 slices.

The Guinness World Record was attempted on July 12 on cruises ships in Alaska, Europe, and the Caribbean.
According to Princess Cruises, the world record attempt was to celebrate a new partnership with Chef Tony Gemignani, the 13-time World Pizza Champion and the undisputed greatest pizza maker in modern history.
Princess Cruises said that Chef Gemignani has created two pizzas exclusively for the cruise line, each with an exciting blend of savory flavors and premium ingredients, from Soppressata sausage and hot honey to agave pesto and fresh goat cheese. He also provided recipes for three of his signature, award-winning pizzas, further enhancing the line¡¯s position as offering the Best Pizza at Sea.
¡°There was great excitement on board as Princess Cruises set a Guinness World Record title for the World¡¯s Largest Pizza Party at multiple venues,¡± said Callie Smith, Adjudicator from Guinness World Records.

While Princess Cruises has set the World¡¯s Largest Pizza Party at multiple venues, the record for the largest pizza party at one venue was created by the World Pizza Champions in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, on January 21, 2023.
The world record attempt saw the participation of 3,357 people and also raised $40,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
