Former WWE Women's Champion Charlotte Flair has hinted at a possible in-ring return soon, after missing action for nearly a year due to a career-threatening injury. Charlotte took to social media, posting a cryptic video, which many believe is an indication of her imminent return to the WWE ring.
The daughter of the Nature Boy, Ric Flair, posted a video showing an ice crystal cracking into a diamond shape, revealing her photo and her name ¡°Charlotte¡± next to it.
The 38-year-old has not wrestled since December 8, 2023, when she suffered a torn ACL, a torn meniscus, and a torn MCL on SmackDown while facing Asuka. In January, Charlotte revealed that she had undergone knee surgery. However, given the serious nature of her injuries, many feared that it could be impossible for her to make an in-ring return.
Charlotte, who was born into wrestling royalty as the daughter of the 16-time World Champion Ric Flair, followed in her father's footsteps into the ring.
She made her in-ring debut for WWE in 2012 on NXT and picked up her first NXT Women's Championship in 2014. Due to her father's influence on wrestling, many had predicted that Charlotte would have it easy in the business. But Charlotte, with her in-ring skills, proved to the world that she had what it takes to be one of the biggest names in women's wrestling on her own and that she was not getting the push due to her name.
Like her illustrious father, Charlotte is a multiple-time world champion, winning the RAW Women's Championship six times and the SmackDown Women's Championship seven times. She is also a two-time NXT Women's Champion and a one-time WWE Divas Champion.
