Virender Sehwag has played some blinders for India and regardless of the format or conditions, he never compromises on his natural game.
One such example took place during the Galle Test between India and Sri Lanka in 2008. Already trailing 1-0 in the three-match series, India were under pressure as the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly were not firing. Sehwag knew the onus was on him.

He played the only way he knew, attack from the start. Scoring at a brisk rate put Sri Lanka on the defensive even as they took wickets at the other end.?
Batsmen tumbled one after the other but Sehwag was unmovable as he went past his century in quick time. When the innings folded on 329, he was 201 not out. His knock lasted 231 balls and had 22 fours with 4 sixes.

It was a defiant piece of batting and the quick scoring helped India save time on the game as they wrapped it up by 170 runs inside 4 days. The series was level with one game to go.
The visitors would lose the rubber eventually, but Sehwag's explosive piece of batting was a grim reminder to the opposition of what havoc he can wreak with the willow when in full flow.
