The first One-day international (ODI) between New Zealand and Bangladesh witnessed a rare sight. Kiwi top-order batsman Martin Guptill was interviewed by his wife during the post-match presentation ceremony.
Guptill scored an unbeaten century (117 off 116 balls), helping the home team register a comfortable eight-wicket win against Bangladesh in Napier.
The 32-year-old, who was later adjudged Man of the match was interviewed by his wife, sports presenter, Laura McGoldrick during the presentation ceremony.
New Zealand currently lead the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh 1-0. The second and third games are scheduled for February 16 and 20 respectively.
Post the completion of the the ODI series, the two team will lock horns in a 3-match Test series, which will start from February 28.
