What is the surprise 'The Game' Triple H has prepared for WWE Saturday Night's Main Event? Fans have been left wondering what the special thing is that Triple H teased for December 14th when Saturday Night*s Main Event returns.
The 14-time World Champion, who retired from wrestling in 2022 after a health scare, took fans by surprise with a social media post.
The Chief Content Officer of WWE posted a video of himself and Cody Rhodes, where they are seen discussing the upcoming Saturday Night*s Main Event. Triple H also reminds Rhodes how the event will have a retro feel and noted that Jesse Ventura will return as a commentator for the special event.
Triple H then turned his attention to a case and said that inside was something for Rhodes, telling him it was for 'one night only' before walking away.
Rhodes is then seen opening the case, his face lighting up before locking it and carrying it away.
Though WWE has not shared further details, given the focus on the retro theme for Saturday Night*s Main Event, many have speculated that it is an old championship belt.
Many believe that WWE could bring back the 'winged eagle', the now-retired iconic championship belt worn by the likes of Hulk Hogan, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels, and Steve Austin for Saturday Night*s Main Event.
In use from 1988 to 1998, the Winged Eagle design is often considered the best World Championship WWE had and was replaced with the "Big Eagle" belt.
Over the years, there have been demands from both fans and wrestlers to bring the Winged Eagle belt back.
Fightful Select reported that WWE and Rhodes had been in talks regarding bringing back the design since he became the champion in August.
