The highly anticipated TATA Mumbai Marathon 2025 will take place on January 19, 2025, starting from 5 AM IST and concluding around 12:30 PM. With international stars joining the iconic event in the heart of the city, the Mumbai Police have announced traffic restrictions and route changes for travelers.
Traffic Restrictions: On January 19, from 3 AM to 1 PM, key routes including the Bandra Worli Sea Link, Coastal Road, Veer Nariman Road, and Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Road will be closed to traffic.?
The full marathon will start at 5 AM from CSMT and finish near the OCS Junction by 12:30 PM.The half marathon and Police Cup run will start from Mahim Reti Bunder at 5 AM, ending near OCS Junction by 9:10 AM.Special categories for people with disabilities and senior citizens will also be available.?
Runners with their own vehicles can park at designated spots, including Br. Rajani Patel Marg, S.V.P. Road, outside Bhushan Bhavan, Ballard Pier, BMC Pay and Park near Tata Garden, and others.?The DN Road to Bhatia Junction stretch will be closed from 11 PM on Saturday until 1:15 PM on Sunday, with the exception of essential services. Heavy vehicles will be prohibited in South Mumbai on Sunday.?

2. KB Patil Marg: Closed from Madame Cama Road Junction to CTO Junction.?
3. Hazarimal Somani Road: Closed from OCS Junction to CSMT Junction.?
4. Veer Nariman Road: Closed from NS Road (Marine Drive) and Hutatma Chowk Junction.?
5. Anandilal Podar Chowk: Closed from Anandilal Podar Junction to Metro Junction.?
6. Madame Cama Road: Closed at Ambedkar Statue and Air India Junction.?
7. Purushottam Thakurdas Road & D Sukhadwala Road: Closed from Hazarimal Somani Road to DN Road.?
8. Charanjeet Das Road: Closed from DN Road to Hazarimal Somani Road.?
9. Maharshi Karve Road: Closed from Churchgate Junction to Godrej Junction.?
10. J Tata Road: Closed up to NCPA.?
11. NS Road (Marine Drive): Closed from NCPA to Bandstand on both sides. Traffic also restricted from IMC Building to Sundar Mahal Junction, E Road to Gaware Junction, Anuvrat Road to NS Road, and several other junctions.?
12. HT Parikh Marg: Closed from Akashwani to MK Road.?
13. Walkeshwar Road: Closed from Teen Batti to Bandstand Junction.?
14. JJ Flyover: Closed in both directions.?
15. Hughes Road: Closed from Cecil Junction to RTI Junction.?
16. Gopalrao Deshmukh Road: Closed from August Kranti Marg, Carmichal Junction, Gamadia Junction, and Mount Unique Lane.?
17. Bhulabhai Desai Road: Closed from Mahalaxmi Temple Lane to Cadbury Junction and from Talyarkhan Junction to Cadbury Junction.?
18. Tardeo Road: Closed from Vatsalabai Desai Junction.?
19. Pochkhandwala Road: Closed towards INS Trata.?
20. Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Road: Closed in both directions.?
21. Cadel Road: Closed in both directions.?
22. Kala Nagar Junction: Closed from Nanddeep Garden towards Bandra Railway Bridge.?
23. Veer Savarkar Road: Closed from Yes Bank to Siddhivinayak Junction.?
24. Western Express Highway Southbound: Closed towards Sea Link from U Bridge.?
25. AB Road: Closed from Worli Naka towards Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Road.?
Alternate routes for Marathon Day include Shahid Bhagat Singh Marg, P. D'Mello Road, and the Eastern Freeway leading toward Wadala and Chembur. Travelers can also use Nath Pai Marg, Zakaria Bandar Marg, and R.A.K. Road to reach Dadar, Matunga, or Sion.
Traffic will be directed along Shahid Bhagat Singh Marg, P. D'Mello Marg, Wadibandar Junction, and S.V.P. Road towards Girgaon. Additionally, Appasaheb Marathe Marg will be one-way from Lenigrad Chowk to Century Junction. Several other routes will be available to help ease movement for citizens.?
