The Rock, arguably one of the most famous professional wrestlers of all time, may not be present at WrestleMania 41, the biggest annual event in the WWE calendar. WrestleMania 41 will be held across two days, April 19 and 20, 2025, in Las Vegas.
Over the past few months, there has been widespread speculation over Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's participation in WrestleMania 41. However, the latest reports claim that WWE is moving forward with the assumption that The Rock will not be available for the event.
According to Fightful Select, creative plans are being put in motion by WWE on the assumption that The Rock will not be working at WrestleMania. The report, however, added that anything is possible when it comes to The Rock and plans could change, as they did in the case of Bad Blood.
The 52-year-old was last seen in a WWE ring during the Bad Blood PPV, which the report said was just to get him on-screen, as WWE reportedly didn¡¯t have a storyline they were furthering with this appearance.
Fightful also reports that Cody Rhodes and The Rock ¡°filmed something¡± at the Moana 2 premiere, with no more context than that given to them, including if it was linked to WrestleMania 41.
The Rock stopped being a full-time wrestler back in 2002 but has made sporadic appearances at WrestleMania ever since. The Rock has been a part of 11 WrestleManias so far, picking up wins over the likes of Ken Shamrock, Hollywood Hogan, Steve Austin, and John Cena.
The Rock's last WrestleMania appearance was in 2024 at WrestleMania 40, when he teamed up with Roman Reigns to take on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. The Great One and The Tribal Chief picked up the win in the main event of WrestleMania 40's first night.
