After losing to Pakistan in the?Champions Trophy final, Virat Kohli and company have jumped back into action with renewed enthusiasm. They won the first Test at Galle by a convincing margin and this one in Colombo has been all-the-more convincing.
This time around, they inflicted an innings defeat on the islanders, which can go down in history as one of the greatest Test victories for India. Thanks to centuries from Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and a 70-run knock from Ravindra Jadeja.

After posting a mammoth total of 622/9 in the first innings, Kohli's men bundled Sri Lanka out for a paltry 183. And then forced them to follow on. And their second innings was also no good.
Although Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Mendis scored centuries with respective centuries, their entire team perished for 386, hence losing the match by 53 runs and an innings.
