The 38-year-old automatically became a free agent when he opted to part ways with LA Galaxy. Ibrahimovic's return will be his second spell at San Siro after spending two years at the club from 2010 to 2012. The Rossoneri managed to win the Scudetto in Ibrahimovic's debut season with Milan.
Speaking about his arrival at Milan earlier in the day, the legendary striker said that Milan has always been his home and his return is an important moment for the club.
?Ibrahimovic asserted that he will get the San Siro jumping again as Milan continue to seek revival in Italy's top flight. The seven-time European champions are 11th in the Serie A table with 21 points under their belt after 17 league games this season.?
"I have always said that this is my home, and finally I am back. I've been through other clubs in the meantime, but I have returned, and that's the important thing. Finally I am here, wait for me at San Siro and we'll get it jumping again," the former Manchester United striker said in a statement. For his second stint at Milan, Ibrahimovic will be wearing the No. 21 jersey and he is expected to hit the ground running for the sleeping giants in the remainder of the season.
