Elon Musk is a modern day visionary. Sure, he gets angry and calls people names on social media and smokes pot for kicks, but that doesn't mean he isn't working on disruptive technology.
After disrupting the auto, solar and space industries, Elon Musk wants to leave a huge mark on the future of humanity or AI itself. That's why he started Neuralink in 2016.

And according to hints he dropped a week ago, Neuralink may soon be close to announcing a product unlike anything we have seen. A brain computer interface which is mind-bendingly sci-fi.
"I think we'll have something interesting to announce in a few months ... that's better than anyone thinks is possible," the Tesla CEO said on "Joe Rogan Experience."

What's all the fuss surrounding Neuralink? "We effectively merge with AI," claims Elon Musk, without batting an eye-lid.
Musk argues that through our over-dependence on smartphones, we have already taken the first step towards our cyborg future. Neuralink is an attempt to just accelerate the process by leaps and bounds.

Through Neuralink -- which aims at increasing the data throughput between brain and computer -- Elon Musk believes humans will have a realistic shot at becoming at par with AI or advanced machines in the near future, and not lose our edge in terms of processing power and taking super quick decisions.
That's not all, according to what CNBC quoted Elon Musk as saying about Neuralink's prowess.?"If your biological self dies, you can upload into a new unit. Literally," Musk said.
