It¡¯s estimated that the average person spends about two minutes brushing their teeth. But how much time could you save if you instead took, say, just 10 seconds?

Let¡¯s look at the numbers. Assuming you brush once a day, taking approximately two minutes for each session, that¡¯s about 12 hours a year you¡¯re spending on oral hygiene. With a conservative assumption that you live to 75 years of age, you¡¯ll be spending 38 days in your entire life just brushing your teeth. If you brush twice a day, that number skyrockets, and you may also live well beyond 75.?
That¡¯s why the Amabrush claims it can save precious time in your life, with its new product. Called the ¡°world¡¯s first automatic toothbrush¡±, it¡¯s much more than just the vibrating toothbrushes you¡¯ve probably seen before. The Amabrush is capable of vigorously and efficiently cleaning your teeth in just 10 seconds with its automated system.
That means that even using it twice a day, and counting an extra 10 seconds to put in and remove the mouthpiece from your gob, you¡¯ll just be spending four hours a year, or 12 days in your entire life doing this. That¡¯s 3 times less than with a regular brush!
Because it¡¯s automated, the Amabrush is shaped like a mouthguard you¡¯d use while boxing. The brush uses a combination of angled bristles, antibacterial material, and microchannels to supposedly give you a better brush than you¡¯d give yourself. Meanwhile, the handpiece is what provides the vibrative cleaning power. You just attach it to the mouthpiece, stick the latter in your mouth, and hit the button. As a plus, the handpiece also has wireless charging, with a month-long battery life.?
Of course, like any vibrating toothbrush, you¡¯re going to have to replace the mouthpiece every 3 to 6 months for approximately Rs 445. The proprietary toothpaste capsules, meanwhile, are sold at around Rs 225.
The Amabrush is currently being crowdfunded on Kickstarter, having already passed the 1.5X mark of its original goal. The basic set is available for Rs 5,860 to backers, though the device may be slightly more expensive when it goes to market.
