Whether using them to turn lights on and off without entering the room, asking for news updates or even listening to your playlist without needing to look onto your phone -- it's fun and convenient.?
And now, Amazon has plans to make its Alexa voice assistant even more fun by bringing the voice of the legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. Amazon has announced that Alexa will now soon let you interact with Amitabh Bachchan as India¡¯s first celebrity voice experience on its platform.
While announcing this, Amitabh Bachchan said in an online statement, ¡°Technology has always given me an opportunity to adapt to new forms. Be it in movies, TV shows, podcasts and now, I am excited to create this voice experience in partnership with Amazon and Alexa. With voice technology, we are building something to engage more effectively with my audience and well-wishers.¡±?
People could interact with Mr Bachchan and could ask him to tell jokes, shayaris, weather information and numerous other interactive conversational content to keep people at home entertained. This surely isn¡¯t the first time Bachchan is working with Amazon. Last year, he was one of the voice actors for a podcast called ¡®Kaali Awazein¡¯ on Amazon¡¯s Audible Suno podcasts.
This is not the first time that a celebrity has lent its voice to the Alexa digital assistant. Last year we also saw Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson participate in a similar arrangement where he told jokes and responded to questions in a hilarious way.?
While we all are surely excited to have Amitabh Bachchan interact with us in our homes using Alexa, we will have to wait for a while as the voice feature is expected to come online next year. This feature won¡¯t be limited to Echo speakers, in fact, it will also be seen on FireTV devices as well as Amazon Shopping app -- basically all devices that support running Alexa.
