We could soon get to look at an all-glass iPhone, Apple Watch and MacPro tower, bringing Jony Ive¡¯s vision of ¡®a single slab of glass¡¯ to fruition, as the company has been granted patents for all of the aforementioned devices.

Reported first by Patently Apple, the iPhone's illustrations and schematics look something like we¡¯ve never seen before. The device in the illustration has the classic iPhone icon layout, with functional touchscreen buttons all around the edges.
While we¡¯ve seen phones with multiple displays -- devices like Microsoft Surface Duo, Samsung Galaxy Fold or even the curved screens on the Edge line-up of Galaxy phones, Apple¡¯s implementation of multiple touch screens across the whole device surely looks futuristic.?
What seems a little worrying is that with so many touch screens, persists the issue of accidental touches. Also, displays get cracked upon a single drop, which could make this all-touchscreen device rather inconvenient. But then again, these are just patents and the real deal could be completely different.

Alternatively, the illustrations for the Apple Watch and Mac Pro aren¡¯t as sophisticated. The Apple Watch looks like a rectangular slab of glass on a wrist with somewhat boxed out edges, while still retaining the iconic crown.?
The MacPro looks even more boring as it just shows a 3D image vector of a larger glass slab with chamfered edges to the left and right, as well as the top and the bottom, giving it the shape of an octagonal prism.
It goes without saying that these are merely patents and we don¡¯t know if we¡¯ll see devices that look exactly or even remotely like this.
