Google is expected to launch the next iteration of its Android operating system later this year but it seems like leaks around the Android 12 are already out.?
Providing us with a peak of what is to come the leaks summarise several Android 12 features that we may see on smartphones soon.
The new leaks come in the form of an alleged early draft of a document made by Google made to summarize changes in Android 12. As shared in a report by XDA Developers, the leaks come complete with screenshots of the new Android 12 version, including a new notifications panel, new widgets, new privacy features and more.
As seen in the screenshots, the new notifications panel separates the conversations from the regular app notifications in Android 12.?The tabs appearing in each of these sections appear to be more rounded than before. Android 12's notification panel, on the whole, has been made more opaque and hence covers the background completely.
Up top, the panel features four instead of the usual six Quick Settings icons which are now bigger in size than before. These, of course, might have an option of adding more as per the user¡¯s choice. Positioning of the date and time at the top left has been interchanged, with the latter now appearing at the bottom of the date.
Interestingly, the battery icon has been moved to side with the cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity indicators and hence leaves space at its usual position in Android 12. The newfound spot now showcases the camera and microphone icons as and when they are active, for an increased privacy intimation to the user.
The report also highlights that the new privacy settings have been enhanced to provide the user an option of completely disabling the camera, microphone, and location access to any app. In case these are in use, the apps using the camera or the microphone can be discovered by clicking on the new indicator at the top right.
In addition to these changes, Google is also reportedly planning to make ¡°conversation widgets¡± a mandatory feature for all Android 12 devices. These Android 12 widgets will be used to provide easy access to a contact, complete with its name, notification, status information and an avatar.
It should, however, be noted that none of these Android 12 updates have been confirmed by Google as of now. These should thus be treated as what they are for now - rumours.
