Another example of how trolls are exploiting Google Search: If you search for ¡®empty seats¡¯ on Google Maps, it¡¯ll show you the location of the Etihad Stadium of Manchester City Football Club.?
Even searching for ¡®empty seats¡¯ on Google Search brings the listing and images for the Etihad Stadium with Manchester City's blue colours.

I spotted this while browsing Twitter, where some fans had posted screenshots of the search results throwing up Manchester City's stadium. While this might seem like a random glitch or a prank, it's obviously coming at someone's expense, and exposing how modern technology is being (mis)used for a laugh or gag.
What¡¯s surprising is that this comes days after Pep Guardiola, the manager for Manchester City, had stated that the club needed more fans -- especially after hundreds of empty seats during their opening Champions League game.
This statement came after reports highlighted that only 30,959 fans attended Tuesday night¡¯s 6-1 win against Wycombe. This however wasn¡¯t the first time.?
Pep Guardiola was also calling on the supporters when just 38,062 fans watched Manchester City¡¯s 6-3 victory over RB Leipzig. To put things into perspective, the stadium has 55,000 seats, leaving over 17,000 seats empty.?

Guardiola went on camera to request the fans to come to the stadium. "I would like more people to come to the next game on Saturday. We need the people, please, because we will be tired.¡±
This caused fans to be enraged, as Guardiola¡¯s statements indicated that he was questioning the support of the fans of the club, while subjecting them to ridicule by other club supporters who already refer to Etihad as ¡®Emptyhad¡¯.?
Not entirely. The listing on Google Maps or Search is based on the data fed by an individual. Anyone -- even you and me -- can add a location on Google Maps?with GPS location, photos, etc using the ¡®Contribute¡¯ tab at the bottom to make it appear like a listing that we see on Google Search.?

All you need to do is click on the ¡®Contribute¡¯ tab and follow the instructions and you¡¯re good to go. This also gets pulled by Google Search to show in its search results. Only after some notorious fan applied for the listing, caused it to show up in the first place.?
However, Google does have a verification process that flags any incorrect contributions, which makes this occurrence even odder. However, it won¡¯t be long until Google goes ahead and reverses this mistake.
