Sharing your Netflix password could soon come attached with strings, or in other words - a price tag. It appears that Netflix wants to charge you extra fees if you share your credentials with buddies.
After raising plan prices for subscribers in the US and UK, Netflix wants to get more of your coins. For perspective, Netflix clearly states that it allows only people in the same household to share accounts. Until now, Netflix had not shown interest in limiting access based on households.
In a blog post, Netflix claimed that it is currently unable to "invest in great new TV and films" for members because some of them choose not to pay the hefty price tag of a Netflix subscription - a cost that keeps going up for subscribers around the world. In India, Netflix slashed rates in December in hopes of capturing more subscribers.
For now, Netflix is testing fee add-on for those who use an account outside of the household in Peru, Costa Rica, and Chile. To add an extra viewer to one's subscription package, Netflix has decided on a monthly fee ranging between ?160-230.

Any subscriber in these countries is now able to add an additional subscriber by migrating information to a new account or by setting up a member sub account that would essentially preserve their viewing history, lists, and even personalised recommendations.
Even then, Netflix is among the most expensive streaming services. The highest rate in India stands at ?649 per month. In contrast, Amazon Prime costs ?129 per month and Disney+ Hotstar offers a yearly subscription for ?1,499.?
