Netflix Plans Get A Price Cut In India: All You Need To Know

Netflix India has gone ahead and announced a massive price cut for its plans in India -- for not only the most expensive plan, but also the most affordable ones in its portfolio.

The discounts come at a time when the Indian audiences have slowly started to love some of its recent shows, including Money Heist, Squid Games, while also seeing a bunch of new Hindi shows and movies joining the Netflix portfolio like the recently released Sooryavanshi, Aranyak, Kota Factory, Meenakshi Sundareshwar and others.
In fact, Netflix India has the sixth-largest library among the countries covered by the streaming giant, according to an analysis conducted by Finder India.
Coming to the revised plans, let¡¯s start with the mobile plan which used to be for Rs 199 per month (for a single device) that will now be available at a price point of Rs 149 per month -- offering around 25 percent discount.
The basic plan that offered 480p streaming quality on laptops and TVs (single screen) that was earlier priced at Rs 499 per month is now priced at Rs 199 per month, with a whopping 60 percent discount.
The standard plan that offers 1080p streaming for up to two screens on laptops, TVs or smartphones that was earlier priced at Rs 649 is now going to be priced at Rs 499, getting an around 23 percent discount.

And lastly, the most loaded plan of the lot, offering up to four screens of 4K HDR quality that was earlier priced at Rs 799 per month is now priced at Rs 649, getting an 18.7 percent discount.
