After Games, Netflix 'Kids Clips' Is A Tik Tok-Like Feature To Woo Youngsters
Netflix is rolling out a feature targeting kids to widen its user base. Called "Kids Clips," the feature will provide kid-friendly short clips
All tech companies perceive kids as untapped market and Netflix is in no mood to miss out. To expand its viewer base, the streaming giant Netflix is in the process of rolling out a Tik Tok-like feature with kids at the centre.
The feature is called "Kids Clips," and is now appearing on Netflix's iOS application. Modelled around the same philosophy as "Fast Laughs," the feature will display short clips of kid-oriented content.

Netflix wants kids to keep watching
The streaming portal already has a kids-only section where one can find innumerable titles for kids. With this, the company is also attempting to foray into Tik Tok-like social media profile with hopes of attracting younger users.

According to Bloomberg, the feature is currently being tested and may be rolled out on a larger scale later. The only difference between Fast Laughs and Kids Clips would be the additional ability to view clips both horizontally and vertically in the latter. This doesn't mean that kids go on an unsupervised binge. Netflix will reportedly restrict the number of watchable Kids Clips to 10 or 20 in one go.
Starting this week, the feature will be piloted across the United States and South American countries with a Latin leaning. Additional markets that will experience the feature soon include Canada, Australia, and Canada.

The feature was first reported by Bloomberg News after an iOS developer Steve Moser found it in concealed code.
