According to a report by Nikkei Asian Review, sources say that Google has begun test production of a smartphone running 5G which could be revealed sometime next week, alongside Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL 4G variants on October 15.?
But the device is still under test production, which indicates that it might not go on sale alongside Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL. Sources also hint that the device could actually hit the shelves alongside its budget offerings in 2020 spring (with Pixel 4a and 4a XL, maybe).
However, this isn't a bad thing, considering that 5G is still in its early stages in the US and the chipset handling 5G connectivity still lacks optimisation to enable better battery life.?
