Neurable -- a neurotechnology company based out of Boston, Massachusetts in the US -- has developed a pair of headphones that can read what¡¯s on your mind.?

Enten -- a brain-computer interface that looks just like a regular pair of headphones, is embedded with sensors at the right places. These sensors, embedded in the cloth of the headband and earcups, track your neurons similar to a mobile EEG, and registering the electrical impulses the brain produces in different situations -- whether it¡¯s when you¡¯re trying to concentrate for academics or stressed due to work etc.?
Understanding the state of mind, it has the ability to mute notifications, boost up the active noise cancellation features and even ask you to take a break, to rejuvenate the mind.?
The app that pairs with the system uses machine learning algorithms to predict and better understand when the brain is concentrating and when it is distracted. The headset is smart enough to also track how often you move, drink water and smile to gauge a way to enhance the overall productivity.?

Neurable CEO Ramses Alcaide, who also has a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, says that his inspiration for the headset was his uncle who had made his own prosthetics after he lost his legs in an accident.
He said in a blog post, ¡°I became fascinated with how engineering could be leveraged to improve human mobility, and therefore, human autonomy. And through this process, I realized that in order to address these core issues, I needed to go straight to the source: the brain.¡±
These headphones, however, aren¡¯t as expensive as you¡¯d expect them to be. As of now, they¡¯re available at a price tag of $279 through an ¡®early bird¡¯ discount rate, whereas it would normally be available for a price tag of $399.

But we do have some time to wait before we see these on our online carts as for now it¡¯s just in a working prototype stage. According to its IndieGoGo campaign, it is expected to ship in May next year.
